Returns & Refunds
Made to order
This policy applies to all purchases made through shop.thegrumpysysadmin.com
All products are printed/embroidered on-demand when you place an order. For that reason we do not accept returns or exchanges for buyer’s remorse…, wrong size, or color preference. Please check the size chart on each product page before ordering.
If there’s a problem with your order
We’ll make it right for any of the issues below:

Damaged in transit / defective print or embroidery

Wrong item, size, or design received

How to start a claim
Email support@thegrumpysysadmin.com within 30 days of delivery (or of the estimated delivery date for lost packages) and include:

Your order number

A description of the issue

Photos of the product and the packing slip (for damage/defect claims)
If your claim is approved, we’ll replace the item or issue a refund to your original payment method. We’ll cover return or replacement shipping for approved claims.
Do not send any returns without contacting us first. Unapproved returns will be refused.
Return address
Once your claim is approved, we’ll provide the correct return address (it will be our production partner’s facility closest to you). Please don’t return items to our business mailing address—those parcels can’t be processed.
Exchanges
For size or style changes, place a new order after your original order is delivered. (We can’t exchange made-to-order items that don’t have a manufacturing defect.)
Cancellations / order edits
Orders begin production shortly after purchase. If you need to cancel or change something, email us as soon as possible at support@thegrumpysysadmin.com. If production has already started, we may not be able to cancel.
Wrong or insufficient address
If the address you entered is incorrect and the package is returned to sender, we can reship to a corrected address; additional shipping charges will apply.
Refund timing
Refunds will be issued to the original payment method used at checkout.
Once an approved return is received/processed, we’ll issue a refund within 10 business days to your original payment method. Your bank or card issuer may take additional time to post the credit. If it’s been more than 15 business days since we approved your refund, contact us at support@thegrumpysysadmin.com.
EU customers
Because our products are made to order, the 14-day right of withdrawal under EU law does not apply to these goods (Directive 2011/83/EU, Article 16(c)). This doesn’t affect your rights regarding defective, damaged, or incorrect items—those will be replaced or refunded as described above.
